Hi All!

It is a unique time in history… We are all navigating through this unsettling time together, so lets document this in hopes to remember all that we will learn and all that we have overcome so far!

Rebecca Farmer Photography is now offering Front Porch Sessions for April and May to families in the Santa Barbara area. These are quick 10 minute photo sessions where I will document you and your loved ones outside on your front porch! To keep this safe for everyone, we will keep a minimum of 6 feet between us and I will direct you all from afar with a long lens so I keep my distance. Sessions are only $75 for 10 minutes and includes your selection of 2 final high resolution digital files. This is a great way to not only have a fun family activity, but you will also be helping out a local small business in your community. What a beautiful shoot with this cute family of four! We had a fun and interesting time at The Grassini Family Vineyard in the gorgeous Santa Ynez Valley back in April of the year. Yes, I know I am a little behind on posting updates on the blog... It's already July! Where has the time gone! The first 20 minutes of this shoot were just stunning! The light was peeking through a giant oak tree in a large open grassy field... Just Beautiful! However, the weather quickly took a turn for the worse. As dark clouds decided to roll in on us and the rain came sprinkling down, we found some shelter hoping the weather might pass. Once we realized our shoot came to an end, we decided that we would reconvene in Santa Barbara a few days later to finish our photo shoot. I just love all these images and the fun crazy story of how these photos came to be!

What a beautiful photo shoot with one of my favorite families in Santa Barbara! How darling are these three little children? I really don't think they could be any cuter if they tried! I just adore these images taken out at the Ellwood Butterfly Preserve in Goleta, CA. I have had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family for a couple years now... I just love watching these siblings grow into the the funny little people they are. The image above is one of my absolute favorite photos from this particular family photo shoot. It was the mother's hope to capture her daughter's big bright-eyed smile for her 6 month photo. We definitely got what she was hoping for! I just love this image!

Spring in Santa Barbara is one of my favorite times of the year! The wildflowers take over with their beautiful vibrant colors and make for some stunning backdrops for my outdoor photography sessions. The concept for this photo shoot was to capture the playfulness and high-spirited energy of this sweet girl running amongst the yellow wildflowers. This particular location is a special place for this family... They have been exploring and enjoying this area since their little girl was a baby. I just love everything about these photos... Not only are they beautiful images to look at, they have significant meaning to this family and they will cherish them forever. XOXO

Here's another few images from one of my Holiday Mini Session back in December. I am finally getting around to posting some of the photos that I had taken the last couple of months... It really was a busy season this year and I got to capture so many great moments! Now that the celebrations have come to a close and 2014 has arrived, it's time to share some of the images that I had the joy of capturing this Holiday Season. Holiday Session on the Bluffs- Outdoor Family Photographer, Santa Barbara CA

Love this family photo session out on the bluffs in Santa Barbara. The light was fading quickly and we didn't have much time, but we managed to get some great shots just as the sun was setting on the horizon. It was breezy and cold out, but I just adore these photos and so happy we made this shoot happen. A big thank you to these kiddos for being such good sports even though they really had hoped to catch the end of the 49er game on this late Sunday afternoon. Happy Holidays!

Having photographed these girls a few times over the last year, I didn't think it was possible these sisters could get any more adorable than they already are. However, when they showed up to their photo shoot wearing these adorable hats I was proven very wrong!! How cute are these girls!! Love it! What a fun photo session at Alice Keck Park in downtown Santa Barbara. It was a chilly overcast morning, but that did not stop us from having a ball and capturing these adventurous girls.

Here is another fun photo shoot from my Holiday Mini Sessions! I have had the pleasure of photographing these sisters over the last few years and I always enjoy their sweet little laughs and giggles! We had a great time together and I was able to captured some adorable photos of them as they explored their surroundings. It was a gorgeous morning in Goleta where I was holding a series of Mini Sessions... Although it was cool and overcast, the light was just gorgeous. I am always excited to wake up to fog and overcast weather when I have a photo shoot... It makes for soft beautiful light! Love it!

It's that time of year!! The holidays are around the corner and I have kicked off the season with my annual Holiday Mini Sessions. It was a beautiful October afternoon in Santa Barbara... Every year I donate an outdoor family photo session to the Santa Barbara Montessori School for their annual fundraiser and auction. Their event is always spectacular and I love to help out this amazing school in any way I can. This sweet family won my donation this year! I could not have been more excited when these 3 adorable little girls showed up for their photo session. They were so excited to put on their pink dresses and play with all the fun props I brought along. We had an amazing afternoon together running through the grass and getting our feet wet in the tide.

I had the privilege of photographing this sweet family at a private beach in Santa Barbara... What a perfect day it was! The cabanas were out, the umbrellas were up, and everyone was having a great time. We walked up the beach to get away from the crowd and the scenery could not have been more gorgeous! I had such a blast photographing these brothers as they ran up and down the shoreline kicking the sand up with their feet. It is these special moments that I am so grateful to capture. It is very important to me to support local schools and charities in Santa Barbara County, so each year I donate about 5 to 10 photo session to help support the educational system in our area. I hope my donations make a difference and that we can all somehow contribution to our future generations. These were the lucky winners of one of my donations! It was a magical evening out at the Elwood Bluffs in Goleta... The sun was peeking out between the puffy white clouds and the light was just gorgeous! These kiddos were having a blast running amongst the eucalyptus trees and the grassy brush. I just love all the beautiful colors! Thanks for a wonderful photo shoot!

I had a blast photographing Jen, Brian, and their adorable little boy, Jake, a few weeks back here in Santa Barbara! I can't believe how big Jake has grown! I just adore this sweet family and have grown very close to them over this last year while documenting all the wonderful milestones that have taken place in their lives. From pregnancy to newborn photos and now Jake at 6 months, I am excited share and capture these special moments. It means the world to me to be part of this exciting time! What a fun photo shoot with Natalie and her little brother, Owen! We had a great time out at Goleta Beach on a beautiful Sunday morning. The sun was shining and the kiddos were having a blast... They barely noticed me capturing those sweet smiles and silly giggles! Thanks for the wonderful photo shoot! Looking forward to the next one in June when little Owen is walking.
