Brand New and Beautiful, Santa Barbara Newborn Photographer

Happy New Year to all!!  So far I’m loving 2015 and I hope you are too! Now that the holiday rush has come to a close, the kids are back in school, and all the holiday decor has been pack away for next year, I have some time to reflect on an amazing year and share some of the shoots that closed out 2014.  Each year as fall and winter approach, my schedule gets a little crazy (to be honest, it is insanely nuts) and I find it hard to keep up with the blog and all the updates happening at the studio.   So, please stay tuned in the next few week while I share some of my favorite shoots from the season!  I hope you enjoy!

This sweet little guy was born in mid-October, just in time to join his family for the start of the holidays! There’s a beautiful magic to sharing our beloved traditions for the first time with our little ones.  Personally, I’m always honored to work with a brand new baby... Talk about squishy sweetness!  Just look at his beautiful face!

Maternity Portraits, Santa Barbara CA

I had the best time photographing this sweet couple's maternity session here in Santa Barbara.  It was such a pleasure to capture this special time as they await the arrival of their baby boy this coming winter.  Photographing couples expecting their first baby is always a touching and exciting experience for me...  I reminisce about my first pregnancy and the quiet moments I would have with my husband.  I have the fondest memories of us sitting quietly on the couch talking about the baby, the future, and of course the birth.  It is those quiet still moments I remember the most...

Welcome Vienna Grace | Santa Barbara Newborn Photographer

Congratulations to the Kearin Family on the arrival of their sweet little girl, Vienna Grace!  What an adorable name!!  Having just had a baby boy myself in February, I was very excited to go prop shopping for Vienna's newborn shoot.  Little girls are so fun to shop for!  Prop shopping has to be one of my favorite things about being a children's photographer... I love having an excuse to buy adorable baby things!!!

I had a wonderful time with the Kearin Family!  We were able to get some beautiful photographs of baby Vienna as well as the entire family!  Thank you for having me capture this special time in your lives!  XOXO

Self-Portrait at 40 weeks | Pregnancy Photos, Santa Barbara, CA

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our little boy, Wilder!  I am 40 weeks pregnant this Friday and could not be feeling more alive.  This pregnancy has been a wonderful journey and we all are so excited to finally meet our newest addition.  As I have been trying to relax and mentally prepare for birth (not an easy task with a 3 year old running around with unlimited amounts of energy), I decided to take some self-portraits to remember these last few days of pregnancy.  So, this afternoon I found the energy and put the camera up on a tripod to snap a few maternity photos for myself.  I will cherish these photos forever and look forward to the day I can touch my toes again!

Sweet Baby Jaimeson- Newborn Portraits, Santa Barbara CA

Sweet little Jaimeson was such a pleasure to photograph earlier this fall!!!  Only 10 days and just the cutest little thing.  She had a head full of jet black hair and the most petite features on her adorable face.  I just love photographing newborn babies... Although, it is very challenging at times, it is the most precious thing to see them all curled up for the camera.  With all my newborn photo sessions, I am always amazed at how tiny these little beings are.  The first few weeks go by so quickly... It's almost a blur.  I am so excited when I get to capture this short moment in time for parents... It really is magical!

Little Jake - Newborn Photos, Santa Barbara CA

There are no words for how sweet little guy is!  Baby Jake is so blessed to have such a loving family and I was lucky enough to photograph some of their first memories together.  Jake was so calm throughout the entire photo shoot and I was able to capture some very precious moments at their home in Santa Barbara, CA.  I just love newborn portraits... These tiny little people grow up so quickly!

Isabella & Sweet Baby Jack- Newborn Portrait, Santa Barbara CA

It was my pleasure to photograph this sweet little guy last week in their home in Santa Barbara, CA.  We had a great photo shoot with Jack's big sis showering him with love...  So cute to see!  Oh, how I love sleeping baby portraits!  It took a little time to get baby Jack all comfy and cozy, but it was time well spent!  We got some beautiful newborn photos that melt my heart.  This little guy did amazing and has such a calm nature to him... Isn't he adorable!
