I had the best time photographing this sweet couple's maternity session here in Santa Barbara. It was such a pleasure to capture this special time as they await the arrival of their baby boy this coming winter. Photographing couples expecting their first baby is always a touching and exciting experience for me... I reminisce about my first pregnancy and the quiet moments I would have with my husband. I have the fondest memories of us sitting quietly on the couch talking about the baby, the future, and of course the birth. It is those quiet still moments I remember the most...

When one of my best girlfriends (and an amazing photographer) asked me to photograph her sweet little baby bump, I was more than honored! To be part of this special moment in two peoples lives is such a gift. Needless to say, I was super excited for her maternity photo shoot and knew just the location I wanted to photograph! On my afternoon walks with my sweet little baby boy, there is a magical path we always walk down... It is lined with the most beautiful oaks trees and green vines that climb up the branches. It gives me goosebumps! When the light gets low it looks straight out of a fairy tale, just beautiful! These photos melt my heart... So much love and joy between two amazing people. I am so happy for you two!
