I love how each photo shoot has had it's own unique flare over the years. So fun to look back and see how quickly these little ones have grown and changed... That always amazes me! Some people are just born to be in front of the camera! This adorable little girl was such a pleasure to photograph. She was so easy to work with and a natural when it came to following direction. Having photographed many professional models throughout my career as a photographer, I have to say this sweet little girl was as good as any pro! I would not be surprised if in 15 years this face shows up on the cover of a magazine. Thanks so much for the fun photo shoot!! XOXO

Such a pleasure to photograph this beautiful family once again for my Summer Mini Sessions in Santa Barbara, CA! I always love seeing my clients year after year... I get to watch and document such a special time in their lives. I can't believe it's been a whole year since I have seen this little guy... Where does the time go! Having two small children myself, it seems like they will be in diapers forever and that they will always need you to watch, listen, and chase after them as they explore the world. However, I have to remind myself that one day, not too long from now, they will become more independent and start to explore the world on their own. We all must remember to cherish these moments now and live in the present. Maybe the laundry is overflowing and the house looks less than perfect, but as my 4 year old would say "Who cares!"

Oh, how I love a western cowboy themed photo shoot! This family showed up in the most adorable country attire... I love how it is just the right amount of country with a little hint of a modern flare. So cute! We had a great time out on the bluffs in Santa Barbara... The sun was shining through the tall eucalyptus trees and the light was raking across the ground. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to take some adorable outdoor family portraits!

I had the privilege of photographing this sweet family at a private beach in Santa Barbara... What a perfect day it was! The cabanas were out, the umbrellas were up, and everyone was having a great time. We walked up the beach to get away from the crowd and the scenery could not have been more gorgeous! I had such a blast photographing these brothers as they ran up and down the shoreline kicking the sand up with their feet. It is these special moments that I am so grateful to capture. Thank you for the fun memories!!

Another gorgeous day in Santa Barbara! The sun was out, the weather was warm... Perfect day for a family photo shoot! These two boys had me hustling and bustling to get what I needed, but I was more than happy to! I just love catching those genuine moments when kids are in their element unaware that I am snapping away. It always makes my days when parents are amazed once they see their photos... I am so happy to have captured these special moments!

Although the sky was in a haze from a recent fire near Painted Cave and the wind was blowing in full force, this was a family of troopers! The weather conditions were not ideal for outdoor family photos, but I am so happy that we made it happen. The light was gorgeous from all the smoke in the sky (probably the only positive thing about the fire) and these adorable kids were having a blast. Being from out of town, this family just loved it here out on the bluff and the children played until the sun went down. Such a lovely memory for this family... Thanks for trusting me and going with the flow!

It is very important to me to support local schools and charities in Santa Barbara County, so each year I donate about 5 to 10 photo session to help support the educational system in our area. I hope my donations make a difference and that we can all somehow contribution to our future generations. These were the lucky winners of one of my donations! It was a magical evening out at the Elwood Bluffs in Goleta... The sun was peeking out between the puffy white clouds and the light was just gorgeous! These kiddos were having a blast running amongst the eucalyptus trees and the grassy brush. I just love all the beautiful colors! Thanks for a wonderful photo shoot!

What a great photo shoot with a VERY sweet family!!! Thank you for having me capture these special moments of your adorable boys. It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara... The sun was shining through a slight haze of clouds... A dream for any natural light photographer! I wish everyday was so beautiful! These two brothers were best buds and so much fun to photograph. Being a mother of two boys, my heart just melts when I see such a strong bond between brothers.

I had a blast photographing Jen, Brian, and their adorable little boy, Jake, a few weeks back here in Santa Barbara! I can't believe how big Jake has grown! I just adore this sweet family and have grown very close to them over this last year while documenting all the wonderful milestones that have taken place in their lives. From pregnancy to newborn photos and now Jake at 6 months, I am excited share and capture these special moments. It means the world to me to be part of this exciting time! What a fun photo shoot with Natalie and her little brother, Owen! We had a great time out at Goleta Beach on a beautiful Sunday morning. The sun was shining and the kiddos were having a blast... You wouldn't believe we live in Southern California with the last month few months of rain and storms that have been rolling in. Although the weather has been a challenge, I was able to catch a few good hours with The Muench Family before another storm approached. I had the best time photographing this sweet family! Their little girl was slightly camera shy, but so adorable! She eventually warmed up to the camera and I got some terrific photographs of them all playing among the beautiful oak tree here in Santa Barbara. It is such a pleasure to live here with all the wonderful locations for outdoor photography... We really are lucky to live here!

This was such a fun family photo shoot with Jennifer, Daniel, and their cute little guy Elijah! It was a beautiful day in sunny Santa Barbara after many days of rain. We had to postpone out photo shoot multiple times because of the weather, but we finally made it out on this gorgeous day! I just love these sweet pictures of their cute little family. A funny little story behind this shoot... As we were taking family pictures, the little boy ran up to this man and his dog. The little boy started to pet the dog and the man said to me that I should stand over by him, get down low, and shoot in the direction he was pointing... "That's the shot," he said! Having my own opinion on how I wanted to shoot, I did not pay much attention to his comment. The man's wife chimed in and said "You should listen to him. He's a director." Being somewhat stubborn, I ignored their comments and just made some small talk. As they walked away, the dad of the little boy said to me... "You know that was Martin Scorsese, right?" I knew he looked familiar, but just did not put it together at the time. I had to laugh to myself... How did I not recognize him!

Here is another sneak peek at one of my Christmas Mini Portrait Sessions... The Young Family was so sweet and we captured some amazing family portraits for their 2012 Christmas card. It is not an easy task in sunny Santa Barbara to capture the essence of fall, but I think we did it here beautifully! The fallen leaves and the golden sun are just perfect! It has been one busy portrait season!!! I am just finally getting around to posting some of favorite family photo shoots from the last couple of months. The Nisen family was one of my first photo shoots of the Holiday Season... These boys were full of energy, which I just love! It is always fun to capture the true nature of young boys... So sweet! The oak trees were just beautiful and I love fall colors we so rarely see here in Santa Barbara.
